What These Sessions Are

This is not about becoming an artist, many previous participants say they have not drawn or played with art materials since they were very young, often at kindergarten. When they attend “Create with Me”, they find joy and fun in their exploration of mark making activities.

These sessions move beyond traditional art classes. They are quiet spaces for self-inquiry through the creative self.

In each “Create with Me” session, a range of media is used from pastel to paints and paper to canvas, promoting an intuitive approach to mark-making, working with form, gesture, and material in ways that move gently beyond perfectionism or judgement into mark making activities, somatic work, (Body Awareness), and dialogue (Voice Expression) and can take you to connection and authenticity and beyond.

Every session is grounded in curiosity, stillness, play and the quiet joy of allowing something new to emerge.
